AGRITECHNICA 2025: Smart and Green Technologies Lead Global Agricultural Transformation, Three Giants Show Their Strength
Local time November 9, AGRITECHNICA 2025, the world’s largest agricultural machinery exhibition, officially kicked off at the Hannover Exhibition Center in Germany. With the theme of “Touch Smart Efficiency”, this year’s exhibition has attracted about 2,800 exhibitors from 52 countries and regions. Within the 440,000-square-meter exhibition space, innovative achievements focusing on intelligence and greenization have emerged in a concentrated manner. The cutting-edge technologies of three industry giants—John Deere, Case, and CLAAS—have become the focus of the audience, providing new solutions to address global food security and climate change challenges.
John Deere: Dual Development of Electric and Hydrogen Energy, Further Upgrade of Intelligent Technologies

At its 10,000-square-meter booth, John Deere focused on “full-scenario green and smart solutions” and demonstrated a diversified power layout from electric to hydrogen energy. Its flagship product, the S7-900 combine harvester, attracted crowds with two breakthrough intelligent technologies: the image acquisition system in front of the cab can capture crop data within 8 meters in real time, and after comparing with pre-stored satellite information, it automatically adjusts parameters such as header height and travel speed, reducing the operation loss rate by more than 12%; the infrared detection device on the grain conveyor can instantly analyze the protein content of grain, providing data support for farmers to formulate next season’s planting plans.
The E-Power electric tractor, making its first appearance in Europe, became a highlight in the green power exhibition area. This 130-horsepower model is equipped with an exclusive super charger. The charging solution designed for farm scenarios is compatible with distributed energy sources such as wind power and photovoltaics, and has completed field tests in 100 cooperative farms in the United States. In addition, the 9RX 830 four-track tractor with a rated power of 830 horsepower is equipped with a JD18 engine that does not require exhaust treatment fluid, and its hydrogen fuel version prototype was also quietly displayed on site, demonstrating the company’s long-term exploration of zero-carbon power.
Case: Dual Breakthroughs in Power Pinnacle and Precision Technology

Case launched the “New Era of Power” product series at Booth B21 in Hall 3, interpreting its brand strength with extreme performance. The flagship model Steiger® 785 Quadtrac®, as Case’s most powerful tractor to date, has a power increase of nearly 10% compared with the previous generation. The standard integrated precision technology system does not require additional subscriptions, and can directly realize real-time synchronization of operation data and remote monitoring. The specially painted “Black Warrior” customized model on site has become a popular spot for audience photos due to its striking appearance design.
In the field of harvesting machinery, the AF10, the world’s largest single-drum combine harvester, was displayed in coordination with the Axial-Flow® 7160 equipped with an 8-row corn header. Its maximum feeding capacity is 25% higher than the industry average, and the high-efficiency connection technology can realize seamless switching of multi-equipment collaborative operations. In terms of precision agriculture, the innovative SenseApply™ kit has attracted widespread attention. As a modification option, it can endow existing sprayers with variable application and selective spraying functions, helping growers increase the utilization rate of pesticides and fertilizers to a new level.
CLAAS: Winning Awards at Home, Intelligent Tractors Leading Industry Standards

As a leading local agricultural machinery enterprise in Germany, CLAAS led the exhibition with an impressive performance of “7 new products + 5 awards”. The 1 gold award and 4 silver awards (including 1 award for the cooperation project with Einböck) issued by the German Agricultural Society (DLG) confirmed its technological breakthroughs in the fields of balers and silage harvesters. The newly launched AXION 9 series large tractors became the core highlight. This series includes wheeled and tracked models, equipped with the latest intelligent driving system that can realize conditional unmanned driving. The 3-cubic-meter extra-wide cab controls the operation noise at 66 decibels, and the rotating seat with heating, ventilation and massage functions greatly improves operating comfort.
A CLAAS on-site representative stated that the new product design not only focuses on efficiency improvement, but also pays attention to soil protection. The special grounding design of the tracked model can reduce soil compaction damage by 30%, which is in line with the needs of sustainable agricultural development.
Global Cooperation to Address Agricultural Challenges, Chinese Strength Continues to Rise
This year’s exhibition has attracted registered audiences from more than 140 countries, and the total number of visitors is expected to exceed 430,000. It is worth noting that nearly 300 Chinese enterprises participated in the exhibition, ranking third in the world. The electric and hydrogen energy agricultural machinery products of enterprises such as Weichai Lovol and Zoomlion competed with international giants on the same stage, demonstrating the intelligent upgrading achievements of Chinese agricultural machinery. The exhibition will last until November 15. More than 20 industry forums held during the period will focus on issues such as extreme climate response and smart farm transformation, gathering consensus for global agricultural development.
