2,500 Global Enterprises Gather in Wuhan: International Agricultural Machinery Expo Becomes Dual Hub for Technology and Trade

The 2025 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition opened at the Wuhan International Expo Center on October 26. As Asia’s largest agricultural machinery event, it has attracted over 2,500 enterprises worldwide, along with buyers and official procurement teams from more than 100 countries, emerging as a core hub for global agricultural machinery technology exchange and trade cooperation.

International Pavilions Reach Record Scale2
The international influence of this year’s expo has hit a new high: a newly added Japanese pavilion made its debut with precision farming equipment, while the scales of pavilions from Italy, Germany, and South Korea have expanded significantly compared to the previous session. International agricultural machinery giants such as John Deere and Maschio all made appearances. Countries including Pakistan and Kazakhstan have organized special official procurement teams, focusing on the purchase of intelligent agricultural machinery and digital agriculture solutions. “China’s agricultural machinery continues to improve in cost-effectiveness and technological innovation. We plan to purchase 10 Beidou navigation tractors,” said Karim, a procurement representative from Pakistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, at the negotiation site.
Intelligent and Green Technologies Take Center Stage
At the expo, equipment integrated with Beidou navigation and artificial intelligence has become the focus of attention among Chinese and foreign participants: Weichai Lovol’s autonomous tractors can perform precise operations 24 hours a day; Yingtian Industry’s kiwifruit picking robots, equipped with AI vision technology, have attracted crowds of international merchants; zero-carbon technologies such as Yuchai’s hydrogen fuel engines and ammonia fuel power systems are showcased in a concentrated manner; and the clean energy test drive area offers on-site experience of electric tractors. Zhao Bing, Representative of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in China, pointed out that these technologies provide a new path for global food security.
Trade Matching Activates the Global Market
The “China-Foreign Agricultural Machinery Trade Conference” held concurrently has built a precise matching platform. Associations from emerging markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia interpreted policy opportunities on-site, and 5 leading Chinese enterprises shared their experiences in overseas localization. Data shows that China’s agricultural machinery exports to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative account for over 60%, and sales in the South American market increased by 26.69% year-on-year in 2024. The expo has also established overseas sister exhibitions in Thailand and Vietnam to extend the cooperation chain.
Fan Jianhua, the expo director, stated: “Within the 250,000-square-meter exhibition area, 60% of the specially decorated booths demonstrate not only equipment innovation but also the open integration of the global agricultural machinery industry chain.” It is reported that this is the sixth time the expo has been held in Wuhan, and it is expected to attract 200,000 professional visitors.
